Akkodis is looking for an experienced Hardware Engineer!

We are currently seeking an experienced Technical Lead in hardware development for a challenging consulting assignment based in Västerås. The assignment involves a key role in the development of new hardware platforms as well as further development of existing products in a technically advanced environment.

Responsibilities

Technical leadership in new hardware development projects based on internal requirements and specifications
Ensure that existing products are kept up to date according to current standards
Close collaboration with suppliers and development partners
Define specifications for upcoming hardware features
Lead troubleshooting, problem-solving, and root cause analysis
Act as a technical expert in cross-functional forums and represent HW development
Support HW project managers in resource and time planning
Drive improvement work around processes and best practices

Background and Competence

Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent (master's is a plus)
At least 5 years of experience in hardware development, preferably in several of the following areas:

Analog and digital (high-speed) design
PCB-A design and manufacturing
EMC/EMF design
Power supply and measurement electronics
Embedded HW including FPGA

Experience with both Agile and Waterfall methods, as well as tools like Jira, MS Project, and DevOps
Practical experience with lab measurements and hardware verification
Strong communication skills and experience working with many stakeholders
Structured, meticulous, and solution-oriented

Preferred: Experience from power transmission or electrical distribution operations.
